Altos de Chavon is a tourist attraction located in Casa de Campo -La Romana, it was built in the 70’s and its particular architecture was inspired by Italian Mediterranean cities of the 16th century.
It´s a very safe and quiet place, full of walkways and restaurants and has an impressive viewpoint where you can see the beautiful Chavon River.

It´s a very romantic venue, with great light and incredible places, it´s the perfect background.
4 Tips to succesfully plan your Photosession in Altos de Chavon:
- The weather is usually hot and humid, don’t forget to bring water and napkins.
- Put on comfortable shoes, the distances are long, the floor is paved and you will surely go up and down stairs.
- From what we have noticed there is not much communication between the security of Altos de Chavon and the Casa de Campo Administration regarding the sessions and that is why we recommend before starting the session to go first to the security checkpoint to verify and then not interrupted during the photo session.
- The best time is after 4:30 p.m. (depending on whether it´s winter or summer, it may vary).
- You can bring a change of clothes, in the amphitheater there is a bathroom that you can use.
- Hire a photographer who has experience in taking photos in the place, since the best places and lights can be lost or not taken advantage of due to ignorance. Our photographers have experience doing weddings and photoshoots at Altos de Chavon.
