In other areas, such as Bayahibe, we often walk to a public beach next to the resort. At Bahia Principe La Romana that option does not exist: the resort is far from other beaches, and leaving would mean extra travel time, fuel and renting a vehicle. Inside the resort you already have everything you need for beautiful photos, just a few steps from your room.

The sun sets directly over the beach, and the colors in the sky are stunning. This is where we take the classic Caribbean sunset photos.
The Resort Gardens
Both resorts have gardens, which give your gallery variety and a green, tropical backdrop between the beach shots.
Best Time for Photos at Bahia Principe La Romana
We always recommend the end of the afternoon. At golden hour, the sun goes down right over the beach and the light is soft and warm. During the day, the beach does not look as good in photos, because the sand and water take on a slightly brownish look, and it is very hot.
Sunset in this area ranges from about 5:58 p.m. in November and December to about 7:16 p.m. in July, so we start your session roughly one hour before sunset and confirm the exact time with you.

The same beach that looks flat and too hot at midday turns golden at sunset, and it becomes one of the prettiest backdrops in the La Romana area. It is also much cooler at that hour, which makes the session easier for small children and grandparents.
