How to request the permit

  1. Email the request at least four days in advance. Include your full name, where you are staying, your session date and time, and your photographer’s full name, ID or passport details, car, and license plate.
  2. Follow up politely. The office may take time to reply, and authorization can arrive the day before the session. Keep an eye on your inbox and follow up if needed.
  3. Check the authorization carefully. Make sure your photographer is named on it. If only the couple or family appears, the photographer may not be allowed to work.
  4. Go to the payment booth on the session day. It is a small wooden booth next to the parking area. Arrive early or shortly before your session.
  5. Pay and collect the wristband. The photographer must wear it throughout the session. Security may stop anyone working without one.

When you book with us, we share the contact details and a ready-to-copy request message, then guide you through the steps.

Planning a surprise proposal?

For a surprise proposal, paying the permit fee together at the booth could reveal the plan. We can pay the fee and you can reimburse us in cash afterward, so the surprise stays yours. Learn more about our proposal photography sessions.

The detail that can prevent a stressful session day

We have seen authorizations list the couple or family but leave out the photographer. In that case, the photographer may be turned away, and the office may not reply again until the next morning. Confirm that the photographer’s name appears on the authorization before the session date.
